About
My name is Gerald Donovan and I have three roles as an educator; 1. I am a father – to two wonderful girls. 2. I am a teacher and teacher trainer, and 3. I am the Director of Sekolah Bogor Raya, an international standard school in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. (I also occasionally write on education for the Jakarta Post and am a freelance trainer on Web 2.0 technologies and education).
In this blog I try to reconcile my thoughts and feelings from those three perspectives (my “Three Thinking Hats” if you will) and try and use my insights to make sense of modern education and the impact of the new technologies. The Read/Write web is revolutionizing how we interact with our world and I am only one of many educators trying to plan for a highly unpredictable future.
Hi Jez..
Nice to found Your BLOG..
I’m Indonesian people..
Can you speak bahasa Indonesia..???
Halo Pak,
I can speak Bahasa Indonesia. But my spoken Indonesian is far more fluent than my shoddy written language.
Aku bisa berbicara Bahasa Indonesia. Tapi Bahasa Indonesia saya jauh lebih bagus kalau saya bicara daripada kalau saya menulis.

Hi Gerald, I am wondering if you ever consider guest posts? This weekend starts the International Year of Chemistry and they are running a Global Experiment to get elementary and high school students involved in what could be the biggest chemistry experiment ever. The experiment is called “Water: A Chemical Solution.” I usually blog about green tech and sustainability, but I think it’s very important to get kids involved with and excited about science, and also raise awareness about many of the problems some people have accessing clean drinking water.
Please let me know if you would like to review an article, I would be happy to send it along. Thank you!
Best,
Alan Parker
